Frequently Asked Questions
How do you ensure the sterility of your work?
I work hard to ensure that my workspace is safe. I have completed my BBP certification and follow all the necessary guidelines. Most of what I use is completely disposable professional equipment that is fresh for each client.
Is it okay for me to bring someone to the appointment with me?
Please do not bring anyone without checking in with me about it first. I prefer to host only one person at a time, however, I will make an exception if bringing someone along will improve your comfort.
What should I do to prepare for my appointment?
-Stay hydrated and eat well. Alcohol is a blood thinner, so please do not drink beforehand.
-Wear clothing that can easily be removed or pulled away from the area we will be working with. Black clothing is always a good idea to avoid any possible ink stains.
-Bring anything you'd like that might comfort you. I always play music and I'm down to chat, but some folks find it helpful to bring a game or book for distraction.
-All around just take care! If you're at all feeling under the weather, I'd prefer that we reschedule for a time that you're feeling well. Please don't hesitate to let me know!
Do you require anything additional for COVID safety?
I ask that we practice good mask etiquette in every session. I expect everyone to be honest with me if they’ve recently been exposed to covid or are showing any symptoms so that we can reschedule until they are able to test negative.
I’ve coMmissioned for a new design, can I see it before the day of our appointment?
Usually, no. My schedule is very full and often I am not able to complete a commissioned design very far in advance. This is why it’s important to give me a description of your vision as detailed as possible. I’m always down to alter the design together when you see it, so please don’t hesitate to let me know if there are things you’d like to change. I want to make sure that every client leaves happy.
Can I get color ink?
Yes! I currently have green, orange, red, purple and blue. I’m happy to order new colors upon request.
What if my poke needs a touch up?
Touch ups are always free and quick! (tips always appreciated;) Let me know if you’d like to come by for a few more pokes and we’ll find a time that works for both of our schedules.
Is the placement that I have in mind especially painful?
below is a great pain chart to refer to!
